Middelgrunden Offshore Wind Farm. Copenhagen, Denmark 2011

A team from our rope access division were deployed to Denmark to carry out essential maintenance work on a Siemens 2.3 megawatt offshore wind turbine. The task involved internal restoration work after an electrical fire within the offshore turbine.

Access to the working areas was achieved using a team of IRATA trained rope access technicians using industrial rope access methods and techniques. Transportation to the site was achieved by boat which implemented all offshore safe working and travel procedures. The project was carried out safely and within the estimated time scale.
